A suspicious looking photo from deep within Verizon has surfaced onto the Web, showing a very curious choice of words that may have many Apple fans jumping for joy. New marketing materials shipped to Verizon say this:

“iPhone Better 4G Smartphone.”

But this one simple sentence has people everywhere buzzing. Could we really be on the verge of a 4G iPhone from Apple? And could this latest piece of technology be the iPhone 5?

Many users are skeptical that Apple would more forward with a 4G iPhone, after explicit details were revealed that Apple would not pursuing 4G technology on its upcoming technology. In fact, the wording on the marketing materials is so poor, that the sentence could mean any number of things.

Bloogers at DroidLife, the Android based website who initially found the materials, interprets it as this:

So what we’re really thinking, is that this is the launch of a new campaign which will try to sell customers on the idea that a 3G iPhone 4 is better than any of the 4G Android offerings currently available.

This may be true, however a small shred of light remains for those users looking forward to a 4G iPhone. With Android possibly putting out a phone with LTE technology, Apple may not have any choice but to match it with 4G technology.

For now, this is only just another rumor surrounding the mystique of the iPhone 5. Until the phone is released this fall or until Verizon goes live with their marketing campaign, we can only speculate on the possibility of what the phrase “iPhone Better 4G Smartphone” means.
